ABOUT THE FOUNDER, DISTINGUISHED UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR CHRISTOPHER OMINYOFE. BALOGUN
Distinguished Professor Christopher Ominyofe Balogun is a seasoned scholar and administrator. Born in 1963 to Peter Balogun Jatto of Atte Kingdom in the Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria, he is a knowledgeable and articulate expert in educational management, administration, and social sciences courses. He has received numerous national and international awards over the years. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Nigeria; the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Nigeria; a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria; a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Nigeria (formerly the Association of Cost and Executive Accountants); a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria; and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Professionals, UK. Fellow of the Board of Quality Standards. This distinguished professional is the sole representative, life founder member, and Fellow of the Association of Certified Commercial Diplomats, United Kingdom. He is a board member of Ballsbridge University, Dominica, BVI, & Curacao. He serves as a faculty member and lecturer at American Trinity University, California, is a recognized member of the Advisory Council, and has been a research supervisor at POMA University, Republic of Benin. He is a Certified Management Consultant (UK). He was formerly the Registrar of Oxford University of Namibia and a council member of the London Institute of Africa Chartered Economists, Namibia. He is also a faculty member and Chartered Fellow of Ballsbridge University, British Virgin Islands, Birland, and holds several international certifications. Professor Balogun has earned multiple PhDs from various universities, including a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Planning and a Ph.D. in Financial Economics, etc.
He founded the Association of West African Professional Economists Bodies (AWAPEB), the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (ICEN) & Ghana (ICEG), Access Advanced College of Economics (AACE), and the Institute of Chartered Geographers of Nigeria (ICGN). Currently, he is the Chancellor and President of Access Advanced College of Economics, an incorporated private university in Nigeria. He is the Group Director-General of all his institutions in Nigeria and abroad, with an international presence in Ghana and the United Kingdom.
Professor Balogun has authored several books on economics and related fields of education. He is also a Coordinator (Pastor) with Deeper Life Bible Church, Kaduna Region, and formerly served as an IBTC lecturer at the Kaduna Study Centre. He is the coordinating examiner for the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria and others. He is married to Madam Dorcas O. Balogun, a cooperative manager, and they have four children. He resides in Kaduna, where all his organizations are headquartered.
